The challenge

1.Fragrance Localization: Middle Eastern consumers have a strong preference for rich, long-lasting scents. Baoshijie had to source rare oils and adjust infusion levels to meet expectations.

2.Climate Durability: Soaps needed to maintain shape, fragrance retention, and packaging integrity under high heat (45°C+) during shipping and shelf storage.

3.Halal & Documentation Compliance: Obtaining proper Halal certification and preparing Arabic-label packaging added complexity to both formulation and export documentation.

4.Packaging Aesthetics: GG Group requested a luxurious gold-foil and emboss design with minimal plastic usage—requiring customization across multiple SKUs.

  • Develop a new line of bar soaps enriched with essential oils like oud, rose, lavender, and frankincense to align with regional fragrance preferences.

  • Ensure all formulations meet Halal certification, as well as GCC cosmetic regulatory standards.

  • Support GG Group’s initiative to launch its own high-end soap brand in pharmacies and boutique outlets across the Gulf region.

After three rounds of sampling and fragrance testing, Baoshijie finalized five essential oil soap SKUs tailored to the Gulf market. Production was completed within 60 days, and the first 40-foot container was successfully shipped to Jeddah in September 2024. The soaps launched in premium pharmacy chains and boutique stores in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, with repeat orders placed within three months. The collaboration has since expanded into liquid soap and hotel-size amenities, with Baoshijie becoming a preferred soap supplier for GG Group’s 2025 wellness and hospitality projects.
